Andrew is a Specialist Respiratory Physician. Dr Gillman has an interest in severe and difficult to treat asthma. Careful assessment and diagnosis remains paramount. He is interested and prescribes the newer subsidised monoclonal antibody therapies in the appropriate clinical settings (eg Omalizumab and Mepolizumab).

Andrew manages a spectrum of respiratory conditions including asthma, COPD , chronic cough and assessment of lung nodules. Andrew does accept referrals for chronic cough and is keen apply with new and emerging evidence for this often difficult to treat condition.

Andrew has public hospital appointments in outpatient clinics and inpatient care.

Andrew has previously undertaken research including in the areas of sarcoidosis and asthma. Spirometry/ lung function testing can be performed on the day of the consultation. Patients are reminded to bring all respiratory medications to their appointment to ensure medications dosages are carefully recorded and inhaler technique problems identified and addressed.
